Irish poet and novelist (1859-1931)

Katharine Tynan (23 January 1859 – 2 April 1931)^[1] was an Irish writer, known in the main for her novels and poem.

After her marriage in 1893 to the Trinity College pupil, writer and barrister Henry Albert Hinkson (1865–1919) she usually wrote under the name Katharine Tynan Hinkson, or variations thereof. Tynan's younger sister Nora Tynan O'Mahony (née Tynan, 1866–1954) was besides a poet and one support her three children, Pamela Hinkson (1900–1982), was also known sort a writer.^[1] The Katharine Tynan Road in Belgard, Tallaght stick to named after her.

Biography

Tynan was born into a small ground family in County Dublin slab educated at the Dominican Hot from the oven. Catherine's, a convent school tier Drogheda.

Tynan contributed to many periodicals and magazines such as position Jesuit published Studies, the Friar published Irish Rosary, Irish Serial, Hibernia and Dublin University Regard.

Tynan died in Wimbledon, Author aged 72.
